Feel the warmth and coolness of the water, birds' singing, and creatures in the water. It is fun because there is a unique smell of the river. Go down the river slowly by canoe, look for the place which you are interested, and taste the delights of the Shimanto."

A stream winder can be found in Towa village which is around the middle reaches of the Shimanto. Let's go down the river by canoe!

This is called 'Koinobori no kawa watashi,' the river crossing of carp streamers. They can be seen in the Shimanto from April through May.This is the point for advanced people.

From Ekawasaki, Nishitosa village, it is a beginner's course of canoe. You can see how wide the river is.

This is called 'Chinkabashi,' a sinking bridge in Sada, Nakamura city. Rape blossoms are very pretty. There are seasonal blossoms along the river.

There are a lot of sightseeing houseboats in Nakamura city. This is also a characteristic of the river. The closer the stream goes down to the river mouth, the slower the stream becomes.
