EKIN FESTIVAL
Ekin Festival, which has a history of over a hundred years, is held annually in Akaoka Town where many of Ekin's works are preserved.This year, the festival is scheduled on July 20 and 21, when the paintings of Ekin are taken out of the houses to be exhibited in the streets.With big candles lit, the fantastic art emerging in the dark has a strong power to draw viewers into another world.

EKIN EXHIBITION - SHIBAI-E IN TOSA AND EKIN, THE PAINTER
The Museum of Art, Kochi is planning to have"Ekin Exhibition"this fall.Ekin's works as well as ohter Shibai-e (drama pictures) existing in Kochi today will be displayed.Modern pictures, which are peculiar to Kochi and could be accepted worldwide, will also be exhibited.
