At the time of Expo '70, the American Apollo Program was underway. Space travel to the moon was a reality, and a display of moon rocks at Expo was a big hit. A number of items related to space development have been placed in the time capsule.One of these is the space food shown in the photograph. This food which was actually used in the Apollo program, was provided by the United States.Other items placed in the capsule include Apollo program insulating heat seals, foil and mercury batteries, and other items used in a lunar lander.
