A miniature AM/FM radio that was the first small-size model to use an integrated circuit (IC). It measures 48 mm (W) x 80 mm (H) x 27 mm (D). Its thickness notwithstanding, it is an extraordinary product╤smaller even than the card-size radio that became such a big hit in the latter half of the 1980s. At the time of EXPO '70, it was the popular thing among young people to listen to late-night radio programs, mostly on the AM band. No one then could predict the large number of FM channels available today.
