Taisho Period
Last day of the lunar year, Kyoto townhouse scene. The first snow of the season begins to dance and flutter outside. Cover the heating coals with ash and New Year's preparations are complete. Getting dressed for Okeramaeri (retrieving new fire for the new year from a shrine), while listening to far-off New Year's Eve bells tolling.
