THE GREAT JOURNEY ON THE WEB

It was the start of a seven-year, 50,000-kilometer journey
back to the place where the earliest traces of man have been found. An epic voyage to be sure and thanks to the Internet 1996 World Exposition you can travel with Sekino and experience the ups and downs of life off the beaten track.

Human beings first appeared on Earth in East Africa some four million years ago. From Africa early man headed to Asia and the far north. It wasn't until about 10,000 years ago that he finally arrived in Patagonia at the southern tip of South America. The Great Journey is Japanese adventurer Yoshiharu Sekino's seven-year quest to retrace the long path of human migration to Patagonia, and to do it with the power of his own arms and legs. Starting this May, teleparc, Fujitsu's on-line magazine, brings this magnificent journey to Internet users all over the world at the Fujitsu Pavilion in the Internet World Exposition.
