Panama

Isthmus of Darien that connects Columbia and Panama is the of the only parts in South and North America that disconnects the Pan American Highway.

This area is covered with a dense forest which has not been touched by any human beings yet. Because there is no public passing route, there is a base for smuggling of drug traders.

There are some parts where anti-government guerrillas are active behind the scenes. When crossing the Isthmus of Darien, besides the fact that there will be nature damages, sociological and political problems will occur.

This area is the very difficult area to deal with because in the worst case, the problem may develop to diplomatic case.
