Alaska Nation
In the fiord in South East Alaska, tangle of water way continues about 900 km from Canada to Alaska. Near 60 degrees North around the extreme north, the temperature goes up to only about 10 degrees even during the mid-summer. As the weather situation stays terrible, we rowed the kayak for about a month. At some camp grounds on our way, we often came across huge group of frogs crossing the river, and bears and bold eagles having their eyes on those frogs.
ΓΌ@The very best sight was a flock of humpback whales. Right after we heard the sound, "Wowooon, Wowooon," vibrating through the bottom of the water, huge white fin skimmed the bottom of the kayak, and we saw humpback whales jumping right in front of us. There were eight. They seemed like eating fish by rising and diving repeatedly. Despite their humongous body, some of them dynamically jumped out of the water. It was a journey which showed us a survival of animals in the coldest part of the earth living strongly .
