Doby Broda

Doby Broda's latest creations will be presented under the sign of harmony, though not always of moderation, at Paris' latest hot spot, the Buda Bar. At 3:00pm.

John Ribbe

John Ribbe, an American in Paris for the collections. He'll be presenting his latest creations at the American Church, transformed into a temple of fashion for this occasion. At 9:30am.

Junko Koshino

Think of "pop art" scooters all decked out in zebra print with gloves, hats and vests to match, from Junko Koshino, the first Japanese designer to show in China. Her collection at the Carrousel du Louvre at 4:00pm. promises to be wild!!!

Lee Young Hee, Yoshiki Hishinuma

A totally Oriental afternoon featuring Korean Lee Young Hee's collection at 5:00pm at the Carrousel du Louvre and, then, at 7:30pm, it's Yoshiki Hishinuma at the Ecole des Beaux Arts.

He dressed Nicole Kidman in Batman, and now he's presenting his own super-production on stage at the Carrousel du Louvre, at 12:00pm. HervéLéger, the designer of the "robes à bandes" symbolic of the savoir-faire fashion house, will no doubt be unveiling the ultra-sexy woman.

Véronique Leroy
Her fashions are surprise enough, but Véronique Leroy has selected a most unexpected locale: la Maison de la Radio, the perfect place to appreciate her voice. At 1:30pm.

Nino Cerruti
The couturier of the stars, Nino Cerruti has dressed Warren Beatty, Jack Nicolson, Michael Douglas, Philippe Noiret, Diane Keaton, and Kathleen Turner. He pursues his art in his collection at L'Ecole des Beaux-Arts, at 3:00pm.

Lanvin
At 5:30pm, Lanvin will present his new collection at the Espace Eiffel-Branly.

Yohji Yamamoto
The night is just beginning...At 8:30pm, the master of black, Yohji Yamamoto likes to say that he's not a fashion designer but a "dress maker". This long-awaited collection, a study in elegance, is at the Sorbonne.

Helmut Lang
Finally 1:00pm! Helmut Lang picks the Carreau du Temple in the Marais district to surprise us with his minimalist, yet sexy, new collection.

Vivienne Westwood
We return once again to the Carrousel du Louvre at 4:00pm to catch the new fashions from Vivienne Westwood. What has she come up with this year - to shock us and leave us speechless?!

Zucca
Back in the Marais for the collection of the Japanese designer, Zucca, who admits that he's really lazy..."I couldn't even even sell souvenirs in Hawaii, I am so lazy."

He's finally here! Jean-Paul Gaultier, fashion's enfant terrible, presents his collection at the Elysée Montmartre, 8:00pm. What better way to start the evening!

What a day the Carrousel du Louvre has planned! The Salle Souflot welcomes Atsuro Tayama at 11:00am. The latest collection from this young Japanese designer is sure to draw attention!

Still at the Carrousel du Louvre, but in a different location, Christian Lacroix, fashion's 'enfant terrible', presents his latest magnificent creations. Noon, in the Salle Delorme.

Sonia Rykiel
At 3:00pm, it's the Grande Dame of design, Sonia Rykiel, who has chosen the Le Nôtre hall to show her impatient followers her latest collection.

Lolita Lempicka
4:00pm and we remain in the Carrousel du Louvre, this time returning to the Salle Delorme to catch Loloita Lempicka's collection, dedicated to femininity.

Jean-Charles de Castelbajac
5:00pm. We leave the Carrousel du Louvre for another historic location: Paris City Hall. Jean- Charles Castelbajac, the designer known for his color, will be presenting his latest collection in the prestigious Grands Salons of City Hall.

Chloé & Angelo Tarlazzi
Paris awakens not at 5 in the morning, but at 10:30am, with the soft lines from Chloé at the Carrousel du Louvre, followed by the Angelo Tarlazzi collection.

Just when Parisians are thinking about lunch - that is, 1:00pm - Barbara Bui presents her collection at the Cigale, 120 Bld. Rochechouart, the popular hangout for Paris' musicians.

Martine Sitbon
You don't have to move off the sidewalk to discover the new collection of the imaginative Martine Sitbon, presented at the Elysées Montmartre, 72 Bld. Rochechouart at 2:30pm.

At 4:00pm, a more intimate ambience can be found at the Couvent des Cordeliers, rue de l'Ecole de Médecine, for the creations of this half-French, half-Swedish, 33 year old designer, Marcel Marongui.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 8, 1996

Junko Shimada
At 11:00am, Junko Shimada ìkicks offî the collections which begin tomorrow at the Carrousel du Louvre. After opening his boutique on the Avenue Montaigne, and now in choosing the Louvre, Junko Shimada has clearly demonstrated his affection for France.

Dries Van Noten
At 12:30pm, Dries Van Noten will be in a warehouse a few hundred yards from Paris, in Plaine Saint-Denis, at 134 Avenue du Prèsident Wilson.


He's well accustomed to these unusual environments, having shown his last collection under an above-ground subway.
And who knows...;? After the invasion of the media, will Plaine Saint-Denis become the new fashion center?

At 2:30pm, it's Christian Dior, at 3:30, Popy Moreni, and, at 4:30pm, Issey Miyake on parade at the Louvre.

Nina Ricci
