LEDA - MOON OF JUPITER
 
Leda was the Queen of Sparta, who, after a liaison with a swan, laid an egg from which hatched the twins Castor and Pollux. Leda was discovered by Charles Kowal in 1974, who also discovered the comet/asteroid Chiron 2060.
 
Orbit
Leda orbits Jupiter at a distance of 11.1 million kilometres, with a high eccentricity and orbital inclination.

Physical properties
Leda, just 10 kilometres across, is the smallest of Jupiter's known satellites, and one of the smallest moons in the entire Solar System.
