Directory: ILS Server
An Internet Locator Server (ILS), also known as a Directory server,
automatically keeps track of which CU-SeeMe users are logged on and available to receive
a call. You can choose whether or not you want to take advantage of this
service by clicking on the checkbox next to the word Advertise. A checkmark in the
box indicates that this feature is active.
If you choose not to advertise on an ILS server, anyone who wants to place a
call to you must know your Internet Protocol (IP) address and use CU-SeeMe Pro's
Manual Dial capability in order to reach you.
There are several ILS servers available on the Internet, and you can choose
which of them you want to advertise on by selecting one from the pull-down menu.
The Edit button allows you to add additional ILS servers to the list.
