Error Messages


Description: "Could not write to destination file XXX"

If you are overwriting a prior written file that is currently opened and used by another software application, it is not possible to save to this file. Therefore close all other applications and try again.

Check if there is enough space on the destination drive and if not, choose another drive or remove unused files.

The file name may contain characters that are not allowed for saving file names. Rename the file name and try to save the file again.

Description: "Could not read source file XXX"

The file to be recovered may be too corrupted and therefore cannot be saved.

Description: "Could not open source file XXX"

The data of the file to be recovered cannot be found on the disk and therefore the file cannot be saved.

Description: "Could not create directory XXX"

The specified folder cannot be created. Try to save to another location.

Description: "Error loading INT13EXT.VXD"

Try to copy the .VXD file that can be found in the FILERECOVERY program folder into your WINDOWS \ SYSTEM directory. The message will disappear.
