Record
You should check if the Mixer Component is set properly before recording. If you press [Record] button on the component, recording equipment that the sound card provides will be displayed.
The recording method decides how to set the mixer. If you want to record sound from the CD only, select CD (using Select button) and do not select any other equipments. If you want to mix with the microphone input during the CD recording, select CD and Mic and do not select any other equipments.
To start recording, insert the music CD into the CD-ROM driver or connect the microphone to the sound card, then, press the [Record] button on the Digital Audio Component. (The far right red button is the [Record] button.) When you complete to set some options, recording starts.
Analog Recording Mode
Analog recording is done through the sound card. If you select this mode, sound recorded through the sound card is transformed to digital and saved as music data. If you choose this mode, you need to be careful to set the mixer or Windows volume control since they play a very important role in this mode. You can record CD as hearing the music, when this mode is selected. And the sound quality of the file might be different according to the sound card.
Digital Copy Mode
You can use this mode only when you record from music CD. It extracts digital data from the music CD and transforms it into a music file. You can make a high-quality music file with this mode regardless of sound card or system performance, because it is not dependent on the mixer. However, this mode may not work on certain OS or CD-ROM drives. If this method is unstable with this mode, Analog Recording Mode is recommended.
