Buzz Generator Adapter

Buzz Generator Adapter is a wrapper for Buzz generator machines. You may find a huge collection of Buzz machines at www.BuzzMachines.com.

Select Machine - Click this button to browse for a Buzz machine plugin.

Parameter Sliders - The sliders are used to control Buzz machine parameters. They are exposed as normal FruityLoops parameters.

Velocity Modulation Knobs - These knobs located left to the parameter sliders control the amount of modulation note's velocity adds to the parameter. Most often they are used to control the volume or velocity parameter. Some parameters can only be modulated when machine is in monophonic mode (polyphony=1).

Parameter Popup Menu (right click on a parameter) - Send with Note On Messages: If checked, the parameter is always sent with a note event. It's needed, for example, for note length parameters in some machines; Quadratic Modulation: Uses quadratic velocity modulation instead of linear. Useful for converting MIDI velocity to linear amplitude.

Note Parameter - The adapter routes all incoming note events to this parameter unless Use MidiNote() is checked. If no note properties are available in the list and the machine does not support MIDI notes, then usually there is a property called "trigger" (the name might differ in some machines). To use such a plugin, right-click that property and check the "Send with Note On Messages" option.

Polyphony - Maximum number of notes that can be played simultaneously. Maximum available polyphony depends on the machine.

Use MidiNote() - Some Buzz machines support this function as an alternative to normal note parameters. It's usually a better choice if the machine supports it. Note that the machine handles the voice allocation if this setting is used. The polyphony may or may not be configurable in the attributes dialog. You may also need to set the MIDI input channel to 1 in the machine attributes if it's not set by default.

Don't Send Note Offs - Most Buzz machines might not work properly when they receive note off events. Turn on this option to disable these events,

Attributes - Click this button to launch a window with additional parameters for the machine.

Commands - Click this buttons to launch a menu with commands for the machine. When the machine doesn't have commands, this button is disabled.
