This document contains useful information on how to install Namo WebEditor 5. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you read this document before you install the software. You should also carefully read the End User License Agreement for Namo WebEditor 5. The End User License Agreement defines your rights and obligations, as well as those of Jasc
Software Inc., in regard to your use of this software.
Restrictions on the Use of the Namo WebEditor 5 Trial:
- Jasc
Software Inc., grants you
the right to use this software for evaluation purposes only for a period of 45
days. Use of this software after the evaluation period is prohibited.
- You may only use Namo WebEditor 5
Trial for personal evaluation purposes. For evaluation in a company,
organization, or group, no more than three users may use the software at any
time. Namo WebEditor 5 Trial may only be installed on a personal computer;
installation of this software on a network or server is prohibited, regardless
of purpose.
- Jasc
Software and Namo Interactive do not provide
technical support for trial software.
- The Namo WebEditor 5 Trial
includes only 400 clip art images and 60 themes, compared to the full version's
6,500 clip art images and 200 themes.

Inspector
|
Inspector lets you easily check and modify the properties of various elements in a Web document. You can dock or undock the Inspector window to/from the Edit window. You can specify most attributes of various page elements, such as document properties, table/cell/row properties, and image and layer properties, directly in the Inspector window.

Resource Manager
|
The new Resource Manager acts as a central repository for resources such as document templates, clip art, color sets, Smart Buttons, themes, table styles, etc. In addition to the resources that come with Namo WebEditor, you can add your own, making it easy to reuse your resources in multiple pages and sites. The Resource Manager can create and expand zip archives full of resources, making it easy to share your resources with others.

Color Sets
|
A color set defines which colors appear as the custom colors in Namo WebEditor's color picker. By saving several color sets, you can easily switch among different sets of custom colors. Color sets are stored in the Resource Manager.

Hyperlink Toolbar
|
Using the Hyperlink Toolbar, you can directly modify URLs inserted in the current document, including the URL's target frame or bookmark.

Namo WebEditor 5 can clean up your HTML by removing redundant or unnecessary tags. This is especially useful when importing documents created in Microsoft Office applications. You can also check your HTML for compatibility with various browsers.

Layout Tables
|
A Layout Table is a design aid that lets you create a page layout by simply dragging and dropping page elements (text, images, etc.) inside a layout area. This eliminates the need to manually create a table to contain a complex layout. As you move things around in the Layout Table, Namo WebEditor automatically creates or changes the necessary table cells to contain everything.

|

Namo Image Slicer
|
The Image Slicer lets you divide an image into several images and export the pieces to an HTML file. The image pieces can be saved as GIF, JPG, or PNG. Image Slicer will also import Adobe Photoshop native-format (PSD) files and let you convert them to GIF, JPG, or PNG.

Site Wizard
|
The Site Wizard now lets you modify the site structure by adding/removing site elements or adding documents within the wizard. In addition, you can now specify site information for publishing in the Publish tab of the Site Wizard.

These are the minimum system requirements for installing and using Namo WebEditor 5
Trial:
- Windows 95, 98, Me,
NT 4, 2000, or XP
- 32 MB RAM (Windows 95/98) or 64 MB RAM (Windows NT/2000/XP)
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 4 or newer (for internal preview)
- Resolution 800 X 600 or higher (Monitor and video card supporting 256 colors or higher recommended)
- Hard disk space:
- 10 MB (minimal installation)
- 57 MB (standard installation, including Clip Art)
- CD-ROM drive (for installation)
In addition, previewing documents created using the Database Wizard requires Microsoft Personal Web Server or Microsoft Internet Information Server to be installed on your computer.

Double-click
the installer package. After the compressed installer files
have been extracted, the setup program will run automatically.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
