Version 1.5 - Final (17.Nov 2000): |
beta 4 is now known as SGP 1.5 (final) |

Version 1.5 - beta 3 (14.Nov 2000): |
cosmetic bug fix in the minimized window and the registration window added copy-key when dragging text/files out of the clipbox (multiclipboard). Now when you hold the option-key (ALT) while dragging a text/files out of the clipbox, a copy of the text/files will still remain in the clipbox for later usage. added a warning sign to display that 'ignore files without mp3-info' is activated. |
Version 1.5 - beta 2 (9.Nov 2000): |
- help text in online help completed! Yeah! - changed the system to open the help, now I hope the rare problem is fixed that the help window is sometimes behind the main window. - one more change in help: now when you press TYPE (or hit command+RETURN) the help input field will not be changed. So it is much more comfortible when you open the help the second time: you can still use the arrow-keys to select another command to type without clearing the input field. hey, what's up....aren't there more bugs? Come one....hit me! |
Version 1.5 - beta 1 (6.Nov 2000): |
- alpha 8 is now known as beta 1 First public release! |
Version 1.5 - alpha 8 (6.Nov 2000): |
- #_P-WIDTH_# and #_P-HEIGHT_# is also supported in Photoshop .psd files, this is tested with Photoshop 5. (I'm still waiting for my Photoshop 6)
added 'MP3-Download-Page-'Demo added 'Save string as textfile'-menuitem: now you are able to save your results as a textfile added shortcuts-display in Online-Help by pressing the command-Key (Apple) for one second. |
Version 1.5 - alpha 7 (5.Nov 2000): |
Update in #_F-SIZE_#: now results will change resolution. Files with size between 0 - 2048 bytes will displayed in bytes; 2kb - 1000kb in kilo-bytes and all bigger files in Mega-Bytes. But the problem with the ignored resource fork still exists! (see alpha 3 for more info) Shift + Ctrl + Alt + f : Font-Toggle; nice shortcut for better reading the generated string. Click at first in the Outbox to active the Outbox and then type this shortcut, then the font of the Outbox will toggle between the standart font (Geneva) and a monospaced font (Monaco). more command patterns: now SGP is able to read ID3-tags (version 1.0/1.1) in mp3-sound-files. You want to offer your mp3-files for download? Now with these new commands in SGP, it is a snap to create your download-page! I will add an example for that very soon! #_MP3-TITLE_# : the title of your song #_MP3-ARTIST_# : the artist of this song #_MP3-ALBUM_# : the album of this song #_MP3-YEAR_# : this song is published at year #_MP3-INFO_# : any comments #_MP3-GENRE_# : what kind of music is this song, e.g. Blues, Classic Rock, Country,... The genre-list in SGP contains 148 types of music types. And more command pattern - I can't stop! Support for AppleWorks document-info in word process, draw and paint - files. In the moment it's just testet with Mac-Files of ClarisWorks/AppleWorks 5.x. (I don't have AW6!) This support is also a little limited because it is based on the resource fork, so you are not able to parse Win-AppleWorks Files. Notice: the fields of the 'document info'-dialog in Appleworks are free translated from myself with the german version of AppleWorks, so I'm not sure if this is correct, if there is anything wrong, please send me a note! #_AW-TITLE_# : Title of this document #_AW-AUTHOR_# : Author of this document #_AW-VERSION_# : version of this document #_AW-KIND_# : kind of document type #_AW-INFO_# : any comments #_AW-KEYWORDS_# : keywords for this document |
Version 1.5 - alpha 6 (3.Nov 2000): |
added Help-Window: the new help system is the first part of my new help in SGP. This help-window is a combination between a command-pattern reference and a kind of quicktype-system. The following shortcuts are implemented in this help window: apple + w : to close the help window ESC : also closes the help window TAB : to autocomplete typing of a command-pattern apple + backspace : to clear the input field apple + a : Select All RETURN : autocomplete to the selected command-pattern and shows all info for this command-pattern arrow-down : to scroll down in the command-pattern list arrow-up : to scroll up in the command-pattern list apple + RETURN : to type the selected command pattern in the active field in the main SGP window |
Version 1.5 - alpha 5 (2.Nov 2000): |
- some file-drag&drop bug fix - nice shooting on the JPEG-grayscale-bug in #_P-WIDTH_# and #_P-HEIGHT_# - direct hit on a bug in #_NR_# (length correction didn't work during filedrop) |
Version 1.5 - alpha 4 (31.Okt 2000): |
Autogenerate ('Generate string on drop') is back with full support of the new file-drag&drop system. It's also possible now to change an command-pattern-editfield and have still access to the last file-drag&drop without 'redropping' the files. I am using the same information system like the other file-drag&drops: if the command-pattern '#_DROP_#' is written in bold letters you have still file-access to the last files you have dropped. |
Version 1.5 - alpha 3 (31.Okt 2000): |
Command-Pattern '#_NFNR_#' (not formated number) added. Now you have the choice between numbering something, where all numbers have the same length (001,002,..) or normal numbers without any length correction (..,8,9,10,11,..).
Command-Patterns '#_NEXT4_#' - '#_NEXT9_#' added. Now you have access to tables with up to 9 colums. I think this would be big advantage for Filemaker users. A wave of command-patterns to get access to file-information. These patterns only work when you drop files to SGP. (In the moment only when you use the multi-clipboard, later I will add this feature also to the autogenerate-function. After you have droped your files to one of the editfileds, be sure that the file-names displayed in this field are written in bold letters (read info of alpha 2 for more). #_F-NAME_# : will be replaced with the name of the file #_F-PATH:_# : absolute path of the file with ':'-char between folders, the Macintosh way type to display filepath #_F-PATH/_# : absolute path of the file with '/'-char between folders, the Win/UNIX/HTML type to display filepath #_F-SIZE_# : the size of the file in bytes - in future I will change this for bigger files to display kb or mb. Known bug: in the moment only the size of the datafork will be displayed. If you also need to access the size of the resource fork or both added to one number please contact me. #_F-TYPE_# : Macintosh file type, e.g. 'PICT' #_F-CREATOR_#: Macintosh file creator, e.g. 'ttxt' #_F-CDATE_# : Creation date, e.g. 4/6/00 #_F-CDATEL_# : Creation date in long format, e.g. Thursday, April 6, 2000 #_F-CTIME_# : Creation time, e.g. 4:54 PM #_F-CTIMEL_# : Creation time im long format (with seconds), e.g. 4:54:57 PM #_F-MDATE_# : Modification date, e.g. 4/6/00 #_F-MDATEL_# : Modification date in long format, e.g. Thursday, April 6, 2000 #_F-MTIME_# : Modification time, e.g. 4:54 PM #_F-MTIMEL_# : Modification time im long format (with seconds), e.g. 4:54:57 PM new file-command-pattern for picture files (in the moment only JPEG- and GIF-Files - if you need other formats, tell me!). With this new patterns you have access to a pictures width & height: #_P-WIDTH_# : width of a picture in pixel-unit #_P-HEIGHT_# : height of a picture in pixel-unit I think this is a big advantage for all HTML-programmers, now you can create perfect img-TAGs, e.g. to make this: <IMG SRC="apple.gif" WIDTH="50" HEIGHT="60"> create a command-pattern like this and drop the file 'apple.gif' on SGP: <IMG SRC="#_F-NAME_#" WIDTH="#_P-WIDTH_#" HEIGHT="#_P-HEIGHT_#"> Known bugs: I have some problems to get the size when you drop a grayscale-JPEG |
Version 1.5 - alpha 2 (30.Okt 2000): |
All main editfields (InBox1-InBox3 now working great with the new file-drag&drop! When you drop some files from the multi-clipboard, you receive all filenames in your editfield in bold letters to give you the information that a link to the files still exits. |
Version 1.5 alpha 1 (29.Okt 2000): |
The new file-drag&drop hits the multi-clipboard. A lot of redesign, trust me a big step. Now it's much clearer when there is a filelist stored in the multiclipboard, because you can see how much files are stored in a list. Dropping of file to the multi-clipboard now works great, but there is still a lot of work to get all file-drag&drop done. Rearange of the 'Type'-Menu (I'm sorry, I have to change some shortcuts) Added Balloon-Help to the SGP-Window, but I am still thinking about a perfect help-system for SGP. My wish is to include syntax coloring, but I have a lot of trouble to get this done perfect in RealBasic (the styledtext support in editfields is very limited). Added a Balloon-Help-button for better access. |
Version 1.5 - alpha 0 (29.Okt 2000): |
Starting the redesign of file-drag&drop. The old file-drag&drop in SGP is very simple. It just get's all the filenames and stores these filenames as a list in one of the InBoxes. The new file-drag&drop will remember the file references! With this information I am able to offer a new class of command-patterns, e.g. file-size, modification date, absolute path,... Added my new FileInfo-Class to get and store (for faster access) file-information. But this class is not limited to standart file-information (file-size, modification date, absolute path,...), with this class I have also access to special file infos, like picture height & width of JPEGs- and GIF-Files. This class is extremly fast, up to 1000-5000 files per second on my blue G3/300 |
Version 1.1 (17.Okt 2000): (never published) |
After serveral trys it's done: the SGP-Window is now resizeable!!! Table/Loop - Mode-Switch is no longer a checkbox, because I have found redrawing problems of RealBasic, so I have changed this button to a BevelButton with a 'T'-char. |
Version 1.0 (13.Okt 2000): |
