ChatBlocker Stealth Tips! ChatBlocker has powerful built in stealth capabilities for you to take maximum control of. The following tips will help you configure ChatBlocker to run in complete and total stealth, so it can not be detected by anyone using the PC. No Shortcuts or an Uninstaller We strongly suggest you do not include a shortcut to ChatBlocker when you install the software. This can be done by selecting "Hidden/Stealth" setup type when installing ChatBlocker. Also, when prompted to decide whether or not to include an uninstaller, select "No". This will prevent ChatBlocker from showing up in the Add/Remove Programs list inside the Windows Control Panel. Renaming ChatBlocker We suggest you rename the ChatBlocker.exe module to a new file name that wouldn't be so obvious. To do this, open up Windows Explorer and navigate to the directory you installed ChatBlocker to [the default location in your C:\Program Files\ExploreAnywhere Software\ChatBlocker directory]. Once there, locate ChatBlocker.exe, and rename it to "winsyscfg32.exe". Next, move this file into your C:\Windows directory [if you are on Windows NT/2000/XP this may be C:\Windows]. Now, whenever
you want to run ChatBlocker, you will have to go to your Windows directory,
and run winsyscfg32.exe. By renaming it to this filename and placing
it in your Windows directory, users will not likely suspect it is a
program used to monitor their activity if they happen to know it is
running. Windows Startup On the main interface of ChatBlocker, click "Options and Preferences". In the window that appears, click the "General" item. This is where you can configure how to load up ChatBlocker when Windows starts up. If there are more than one user on your computer, or you are on Windows ME/NT/2000/XP, we strongly suggest you use "Startup for all users". This will ensure ChatBlocker starts up with every person who signs on to the machine. ChatBlocker Execution Parameters Most importantly, you need to have ChatBlocker run in stealth mode, and to start monitoring upon ChatBlocker execution. On the main interface of ChatBlocker, click "Preferences and Options". Look under the General tab for "Startup Execution Parameters" and check off "Run ChatBlocker in stealth mode" as well as "Start in Active Block Mode". By enabling these two options, ChatBlocker will run in total stealth mode, and it will automatically start blocking chats and IM's when ChatBlocker is loaded! All Done! Super Stealth Mode Enabled!
