DVLA
The official site of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency. Contains absolutely loads of useful information for drivers of all vehicles, from bikes to HGVs. Available in English or Welsh.
The Post Office
The official site of the post office can be a little slow to load but once its all there, this is a useful and informative site. It includes the ability to find your nearest post office to within one mile and get postcodes for UK addresses.
Get lessons or advice about learning

A site that is dedicated to all things relating to passing your driving test. The site can look a little cluttered but there is plenty of good information and links hidden away in here that make this site a good resource for anyone learning to drive.
British School of Motoring
One of the largest and best established driving schools in the country. The site is very slick and provides all you need to know about the services they offer, how to organise lessons and for a small fee enables you to access the entire theory test.
Driving Standards Agency
This is the best place to come for advice and resources that can help you to prepare for and pass you driving test. There is a range of theory test resources as well as advice about finding an instructor and the facility to book your theory test online.
Scoot
This is one of the best online directories in the UK. Finding businesses and services all over the country is simple and easy and the results of your searches are usually presented really quickly. They also have a good cinema finder.
The AA
This is the official site of the AA and it is an excellent site for motorists or anyone traveling by road. You don’t have to be a member to take advantage of their excellent routefinder, traffic information and information about all sorts of cars.
UK Online - Learning to Drive
An excellent section of UK Online that provides all the information, links and advice that you will need in order to learn to drive and pass your test. It covers the full range of licenses you can hold, including motorbikes and is very easy to use.
Yell - Learning to Drive
Yell provides this concise but well organised guide to learning to drive. Much of the information is quite brief but as you would expect, the site is very good for finding an instructor or driving school in your area. A very good place to start.
Purchase books
123 Pricecheck
This site offers a free service to allow you to compare the prices of books, DVDs, Videos and music, including the postage charge. A hugely useful way of finding out if you are getting the best deal.
Amazon
Amazon has now become more than just a cheap online book dealer, it now sells a huge range pf products and is generally reliable and quick to deliver. One of the best shops for sheer choice but not always the best for price. Always worth a look.
Book Brain
This site provides a comparison of prices of books from a wide range of online bookshops, so you are likely to get a bargain every time you buy. If you visit any of these dealers through one of the links provided, a percentage of sales goes to charity.
Read the highway code
The DTLR
The department for transport, local government and the regions site contains this online version of the highway code of Great Britain. It is broken down into sections for ease of reference and includes illustrations.
