Traveling from distant lands to the United States of America creates a remarkable change in not only culture, but also in orientation. "Aliens in Cyberspace" is a project created by photography students at the Rochester Institute of Technology, in Rochester, New York. Not only are we aliens to a new land, but also to a new experience and existence referred to as "Cyberspace". The following pages are a showcase of how we, as individuals and as "Aliens", navigate between America and our native countries via technology and what affect it has on us as visual communicators. |

 | Differences of culture and language can cause a problems for us as aliens in foreign countries. However, recent technology and scientific devices present the possibility for global-level life. In my work, I try to depict these two conflicting feelings, as an alien and as a cosmopolitan woman. |

El espacio cibernético permite que nos mantengamos conectadas y al mismo tiempo enriquece la comprensión de nuestra creatividad individual como realizadoras de imágenes y más importante nuestro acercamiento a un entendimiento cultural. | As Mexican citizens, we feel that cultural links to our homeland improve our social selves. Cyberspace allows us to maintain connected and enrich our comprehension of not only our individual creativity as image makers, but most importantly our approach to the cultivation of understanding. |

My art is concerned with cultural identity in a multicultural society, as well as, the dissonance created by traversing between one culture to another. |
