Categories
Assign categories with drag & drop
Smoothy organizes documents into categories, following the Palm OS category conventions. There are a maximum of 15 categories. Documents are initially entered into the "Unfiled" category. There is a pseudo-category "All", which will display documents from all categories. New category names can be defined and existing category names can be changed.

To change existing or define new category names, tap the top right pop trigger and select "Edit Categories ...".

To change the category assigned to a document, use the two-list view. Drag a document name and drop it on the category name in the list to the left to assign it to the associated category.

Foreign category systems
Doc readers support a common doc format, but each reader maintains category names in its own database. This creates a maintenance problem in using multiple doc readers together. Smoothy can use the category systems from other doc readers and thus avoid the multiple category system problems. Use the pop-trigger at the bottom center to switch category systems. The other doc reader must already be installed or the switch will not be made. Currently AportisDoc, QED and SmartDoc are supported.
