  • Let's assume you want to show your buddy all the gorgeous ladies expecting you at the airport. How can you tell him online who is who and who is where? Here comes the simple-to-use answer.
  • By using this script you can highlight hundreds of different objects with one marker-image only.
  • Easy configuration.
  • Crossbrowser.

    Configuration
  • Download the ZIP-file extract the script-file 'utilmarkerbycircle.html', the testimage 'yourimage17.jpg' and the markerimage 'circlemarker'.gif' and put the all into the same folder.
  • Go to the script-section of the script-file (top of page) and configure the url and position of your image.
  • Go to the HTML-section of the script-file (below the body-tag) and configure the links of each lady (inside the div with the id "peoplenames") as follows:
    <A HREF="javascript:setmarkerto('leftposition','rightposition')">Mary</a>
  • GREEN: Clicking on the link 'Mary' will call the function setmarkerto('leftposition','rightposition')
  • RED: This value tells the script the new horizonal position of the circle when you click 'Mary'
  • ORANGE This value tells the script the new vertical position of the circle when you click 'Mary'
  • Yet how can you find out the horizontal and vertical position of the marker? Good trick: use your imagemap-tool! Bad trick: do it with trial-and-error method!
