About Internet Scrapbook

By using the Internet Scrapbook, you can easily save a collection of Web pages and pictures to view later, without having to connect to the Internet and find the items again. The Internet Scrapbook is a snapshot in time, so even if a Web page changes, you still have a record of the page.

You can store any pages and pictures you like, from one Web site or many. In the Internet Scrapbook, each Web page or picture you choose to store is called a “clipping.” As you collect clippings, you can organize the Internet Scrapbook by rearranging clippings in the list, moving them to folders, and adding dividers.

For example, if you browse the Web for information about Impressionist art, you can create a folder in the Internet Scrapbook called “Impressionism.” Then, when you find a Web page that discusses Impressionist art, you can add the page to the Impressionism folder. If you find a picture of an Impressionist painting, you can add that to the folder too.

You can view the list of your Internet Scrapbook clippings in the Scrapbook pane. From there, you can quickly open a clipping.

Note If you add a Web page as a clipping, Microsoft Internet Explorer automatically disables any scripts the page might contain. This ensures that the clipping will appear exactly as it did when you added it to the Internet Scrapbook. To enable any scripts the page might contain, in the Scrapbook pane, point to the clipping, hold down the mouse button, and then click Enable JScript on the contextual menu.
