
The GridView
menu controls the right-hand area of the screen, where the thumbnail
images are displayed. |

If
Show
file names is checked, the file name is shown, as
at the left. If not, the file name is not shown. |

If
Fill
full cell is checked, small images are magnified
to fill the cell.If not, small images are shown at their original
small size, as at the right. |

If
Use
preview/icon first if available is checked, the preview
or icon appears on the screen before the thumbnail is drawn, as
at the left. If not, only the image's title is shown, as at the
right.
The
preview or icon is the same as what shows in the Finder. Depending
on the application that originally create the image, previews or
icons may or may not be available.

Set
Orientation of all
allows you to rotate all the images at once.
Lock
Cell Size
if checked, disallows changing the cell size. It can be overruled if you
depress the Control Key as you move the mouse over the image.
Cell
Size & margin
brings up a dialog box which gives you control over the thumbnail display.
Default
cell size redraws the thumbnails at the size specified under
Grid View's Preferences.
You
can scroll in various ways in GridView. The PageDown
key or the Spacebar
scroll the display down a page; PageUp
or Shift-Space
scroll it up a page. The Arrow
keys select adjacent cells; if Option
is depressed at the same time, they scroll the display slowly, and the
Home
and End
keys are also active.
NOTE:
You
can set permanent controls for many of GridView's characteristics using
GridView's Preferences.
