The golive
toolbar offers some icon buttons especially for text formatting. Generally, you first have to select the text of the document which you want to format before you can apply any styles.
If you want your text to appear as a headline, choose one of the six levels from the "Paragraph Style" popup. According to the chosen heading level, the relative font size changes and the selected text is reformatted immediately. If you change the font size again, the headline definition is kept. Also use this popup to define text as address or preformatted.
There are shortcuts to create line breaks and paragraphs. Press Command+Return to get a line break and Return to create a new paragraph.
Please note that the "Format" menu offers choices for Style and Structure. It is important to know that the Style definitions override your Structure choices:

If you want to modify the size of a text without tagging it as a headline, choose a size from the "Relative Font Size" popup. To format your text as bold or italic, use the "Bold" or "Italic" button. Click "Align Left", "Align Center", "Align Right" or "Align Justify" to define your justification.
