A new single player Quake2 level.
The Story
SETTING: Mesquite, Texas, circa 1873
Seems the enemies of Earth can't seem to leave the ol' One Nut alone... turns out that the Strogg have dispatched a legion of their cyborg mutants to capture Wild Bill "One Nut" Carmack, apparently the great-great-great-grandfather of someone very important to a future time. The Strogg have surely slaughtered everyone in the defenseless little town by now, so if you find anyone still alive, it's probably One Nut.
(Why the nickname "One Nut"? Well, the details are sketchy at best -- suffice it to say you should have seen the other guy.)
As a precautionary safety measure, John Carmack has hidden a CD copy of the new Quake Arena code by sending it back in time for his great-great-great-grandpappy to safeguard. The Strogg have uncovered this plan and are attempting to recover the CD. One Nut undoubtedly has been tortured in their efforts to discover the whereabouts of the CD. Knowing One Nut, though, it's unlikely he's told them anything -- he's too ornery to die. Now you must head back to old west Mesquite, find One Nut, recover the CD (even if it means killing One Nut yourself) and find a way out.

Remember, you must own a copy of the full retail version of Quake2® in order to play this add-on level!
Once you have the shortcut pointing to your \quake2 directory, make sure the following is also included in your target or cmd_line:

Designer's Notes
Ghost Town 2 is non-linear in play; I didn't plan it, it just worked out that way. There are several different paths through the town. Try taking different paths to the exit each time you play to add some variety. Because of its non-linear design, it is not necessary to kill everything... but you can if you want to. You may also find that some of the canyon walls could appear to be under-detailed; after I detailed the buildings, I felt the polygon counts were high enough, and I didn't want to slow the map down further.
For those of you who like secrets, I have placed 15 of them in the town and the mines. Some of them are quite easy, while others are rather difficult... and cheat codes will not help you unlock all the secrets. If you can find all of them, please write me and tell me about it -- I'd like to know how many people can actually find them all.
