While I am heavily in favor of having Color Picker Pro reach as wide an audience as possible, there is one major restriction regarding the distribution of Color Picker Pro. Color Picker Pro may not be distributed in whole or part by any individual, entity or organization in any manner without the express written consent of:
Mike McNamara of Rootworks
Four Triad Center Suite 100
Salt Lake City UT 84180
e: mike@rootworks.com
p: (801) 537-7668
f: (801) 537-7669
That's a pretty harsh restriction, eh? No worries. If you have an honest interest in distributing Color Picker Pro and aren't looking to include Color Picker Pro on a for-profit shareware type CD-ROM, I'm sure that we can come to a very free arrangement.
The software and accompanying documentation are provided 'as is' without warranty of any kind. The author Mike McNamara and Rootworks do not warrant, guarantee or make representations regarding the use or the results of the use of the software or accompanying documentation in terms of correctness, accuracy, reliability, currentness, or otherwise. The entire risk as to the results and performance of the software is assumed by you. If the software or documentation is defective, you -- not Mike McNamara or Rootworks -- assume the entire cost of all necessary servicing, repair or correction.
You may use Color Picker Pro free of charge on a trial basis for up to 30 days. If you continue to use Color Picker Pro after the 30-day trial period, you are obligated to pay the $5 registration fee.
Not paying the registration fee will not cripple your copy of Color Picker Pro in any way. However, by not paying the fee you are ultimately crippling the shareware industry as a whole. Supporting the efforts of shareware programmers is the best way to ensure that both the quantity and quality of shareware applications produced will continue to increase.
