What is a phishing mail?

• Phishing Mail uses genuine looking images and text.
• It also uses texts and images' styles that are used by the original websites.
• Usually Phishing Mails aim to trick the user to enter his personal information such as credit card, bank account or social security numbers.
• The personal info, entered by the deceived user, are received by a remote server that forwards the information to the fraudsters.
• The Stolen information can be used in many ways. Your credit card can be used for unauthorized purchase, and even worse your account may be cleared out!
• Phishing Mail provides visible links that may be valid, but once you click it, you are directed to the fraud site.
• When the user opens the phishing link, a fake pop-up window might be launched to direct him to the fraud website.
