Editing links

The Visual Explorer lets you edit links in three ways:

To delete a link:

  1. In the Visual Explorer window, click on the link to be deleted with the right mouse button.

  2. With the right mouse button click on the Delete option. The dialog box Confirm deletion of reference will appear. It proposes four choices.

Delete links

This option lets you delete the selected link without affecting the referenced file.

Delete file

This option lets you delete a file without deleting the link. When deleting a folder, AceHTML will ask you to confirm the deletion. Please note that this option could create a broken link in your document.

Delete links and file

This option lets you delete the link and reference file at the same time. When deleting a folder, AceHTML will ask you to confirm the delete action.

Cancel

This option lets you cancel the ongoing operation.

To rename a reference:

If you rename a reference within the Visual Explorer window, this change will be reflected in the edit window.

Therefore, if you change an internal link in the Visual Explorer window, all the elements of the document being edited will reflect such a change. Always be careful when verifying changes: if the internal address (in the case of this example) does not exist, the link will not be valid. Likewise, if you change the name of an image, make sure that the name of the source folder is also renamed in the Files Manager.

  1. In the Visual Explorer window, click the right mouse button on the leaf to be renamed.

  2. In the context menu list, click on the Rename option.

  3. The name of the leaf will be highlighted. Make the desired correction in the field.

All the lines in the edit window containing this reference will be changed.

To edit nodes:

  1. With the right mouse button, click In the Visual Explorer window.

  2. In the context menu list, click on the Edit node.

  3. Make the desired changes.
