this manual lists all the available switches under the -core( ) section of BeSweet v1.5.
for more info, read the BeSweet FAQ !

pay attention : switches are case-sensitive.

Basic Switches

-input
set input path & filename (supported filetypes are listed below)

example : "-input d:\music-in.wav"
-output
set output path & filename

example : "-output D:\music-out.mp2"
-logfile
create a logfile with nam.

example : "-logfile d:\BeSweet.log"
-logfilea
append to existing logfile

example : "-logfilea d:\Besweet.log"

Output Switches
-2ch
create stereo, 16bit, wave as output file

channels order of output file is FL,FR
-6chfloat
create six, mono, 32bit floating-point waves as output file

channels order of input file is assumed to be : FL,FR,C,LFE,SL,SR
-6ch create six, mono, 16bit waves as output file

channels order of input file is assumed to be : FL,FR,C,LFE,SL,SR
-6CH create six, mono, 16bit waves as output file

channels order of input file is assumed to be : FL,C,FR,SL,SR,LFE
-6chwav create mutlichannel, 16bit, wave as output file

channel order of output file is FL,FR,C,LFE,SL,SR
-5chaiff create multichannel, 16bit, big-endian, aiff as output file

channel order of output file is FL,FR,C,SL,SR
-6chaiff create multichannel, 16bit, big-endian, aiff as output file

channel order of output file is FL,FR,C,LFE,SL,SR
-6chliff create multichannel, 16bit, little-endian, aiff as output file

channels order of input file is assumed to be : FL,FR,C,LFE,SL,SR
-6chogg create mutlichannl Ogg Vorbis stream

channels order of input file is assumed to be : FL,C,FR,SL,SR,LFE
-wavmp3 encode to mp3, and wrap inside wav container

sometime useful when wanting to mux mp3 with tools that can only mux waves
-ddwav create a dolby-digital wave

this is an ac3 stream that can be bruned as wav and playback on surround systems
-payload manipulation of payload data. no decoder is involved

useful for demuxins streams, chopping, and delay assetions

VOB-Input Switches
-seek print all avialable audio substreams

useful for selecting the right substream of multilingual stream
-substream set substream to encode

omitting this switch will engage BeSweet's auto mode of decoding the first avialable substream

Tweaking Switches
-6chnothing process a six channel stream, but don't write decoded samples to harddisk

used by AacMachine to demux an audio stream from VOB while finding maxgain value
-2chnothing process a six channel stream, but don't write decoded samples to harddisk

used by AacMachine to demux an audio stream from VOB while finding maxgain value
-noid3 avoid adding ID3v1 tag to encoded file

by default, BeSweet adds an ID3v1 tag to encoded file
-be assume input wave file is 16bit, stereo, big-endian file

useful when demuxed pcm samples are flipped

BeSweet accepts the following filetypes as inputs
Mpeg Audio
".MP3",".MP2",".MPA"
Dolby Digital
".AC3"
Ogg Vorbis
".OGG"
Linear PCM
".PCM".

assumed to be 16bit, stereo, 48khz

* to force a different sample rate, use the "-ota( -fs )" switch
Wave ".WAV"

mono/stereo/multichannel 16bit waves smaller than 2gb

mono/stereo/multichannel 32bit floating-point waves at any size
AVI
".AVI" with AC3/MPx/PCM soundtrack

here, PCM stands for : 8/16 bits, mono/stereo/multichannel streams
Video Object
".VOB" with AC3/PCM soundtrack

same as the AVI case - 20/24bits PCM is not supported
BeSweet's LIST file
".LST"

allows transcoding multiple files into one
BeSweet's MUX file
".MUX"

allows feeding BeSweet with multiple mono waves instead of single multichannel wave
