Copy, Copy, Copy, Paste.

Piky Basket allows you to select files/folders in to a "basket" from different locations. Once you are done selecting, you can paste them all at once to the target folder. It also allows you to selectively paste the files to the target folder.

Using this feature:
Step One:

In Windows Explorer, select the files and folders you wish to copy/move. Right click and choose "Piky Basket|Drop into the Basket" from the menu which appears. Keep dropping different files and folders in the same manner.




Step Two

Go to the target folder where you wish to copy/move the files. Right click on the background of Windows Explorer window and choose "Piky Basket|Copy All" or "Piky Basket|Move All" from the menu which appears. This action will copy/move all the files in the basket to the target folder.

You can also selectively copy/move the files by choosing "Piky Basket|Select..." option from the context menu.




Copy Paths to Clipboard

Often we require the file paths of the files we are working on, for documentation purpose, for emailing them to our coworker or for databases. In Windows there exists no direct way to get the file paths, by default.

With just 2 clicks, Piky Basket can get the file paths of the selected files/folders in Windows Explorer.

If you are copying the file paths from a mapped network drive, Piky Basket will prompt you if the paths must be in Universal Naming Convention (UNC) format (eg. \\servername\sharename\foldername ). It is the quickest way to allow your coworker to access the files/folders over the network.

Using this feature:

 Step One:

In Windows Explorer, select the files and folders for which you want the file paths. Right click and choose "Piky Basket|Copy Paths to Clipboard" from the menu which appears. The file paths are copied to Windows Clipboard.

Step Two:

Go to the application where you want to paste the file paths, say Notepad.exe and press Ctrl+V to paste the file paths.




Command Prompt Here

If you work with Windows command prompt (cmd.exe or command.com) very often, then this feature is for you.

This option will launch Command Prompt from the selected folder in Windows Explorer. The important point here is that the current directory in the command prompt will automatically change to the selected folder.

Using this feature:

 Step One:

Go to any folder in Windows Explorer. Right click on the background of Windows Explorer window and choose "Piky Basket|Command Prompt Here" option. This action will launch Command Prompt (command.exe in Windows 95/98/ME and cmd.exe in Windows NT/2000/XP or higher).
