To edit media information
- Click Media Library, and then find the item that you want to edit.
- Right-click the item, and then click Edit.
- Edit the information you want, and then press ENTER to add your changes to Media Library.
Notes
- You can use the TAB key to move from column to column.
- If you edit the genre for the only item in a particular genre, the genre is also renamed. If you edit the genre information for one of the many items in a particular genre, a new genre is added.
- You can edit the information for several items at once. To select contiguous items, press and hold the SHIFT key while selecting. To select noncontiguous items, press and hold the CTRL key while selecting. Right click the selected items, and then click Edit.
- You can also edit media information for albums listed in the playlist pane in Now Playing, in Copy from CD, in Copy to CD or Device, as well as the Now Playing category in Media Library.
- The Player includes a feature called Advanced Tag Editor that you can use to edit the media information for a single item or several items at once. The Advanced Tag Editor includes spaces for all kinds of media information that is not listed in Media Library.
- After media information is edited or updated, items may be automatically renamed and rearranged in Media Library if the rename and rearrange check box on the Media Library tab is selected.
