Having more than one e-mail address might be handy in certain situations. Instead of forwarding all of them to one central account, you could use different addresses for different applications. For instance, use a Hotmail account for all your e-mail newsletters, a Yahoo account for all your business correspondence, your ISP account for personal stuff, etc.. It's always wise to have more than one way to send e-mail; you never know when a mailbox might run into problems. Don't get a new account somewhere just for the sake of having another e-mail address. That's just silly.
