Sure, search engines are simple to use, but they don't always show you what you really wanna see. Ever hear of meta tags? For authors, if not abused, they're perfectly fine to use; for end users, if not precise and accurate, they'll be a thorn in the browser's sidebar. With keywords, you're looking for content and information in actual Web documents, not trying to target page titles (or meta tags). Like memetics, for example. Using a field-supporting search engine (like ALTAVISTA.COM), try entering: 'text:memetics' (sans apostrophes and spaces). Wrap quotation marks around your entry if you're looking for a string of keywords (like a certain phrase). And remember, you can use more than one search engine; my mom still doesn't understand that there's life beyond Yahoo. The more search engines you query, the greater your chances of success.
