Coming from the "Bigger Than Life" Department, Lockergnomie Patrick Jarrett discovers that one size fits all. What's your New Year's Resolution? Mine is 1600x1200. That's how many pixels (horizontally) by how many pixels (vertically) I can see at one time on my monitor. For most users, 1024x768 is sufficient. Average? I've heard somewhere in the neighborhood of 800x600, although 640x480 is still a standard to which most must bend. Got a wallpaper image that's either too big or too small for your screen? Dry those eyes, dear Gnomie. As long as Active Desktop (or Plus! for Windows 95) is installed, you should have the option to Stretch that BMP (bitmap). Believe me, it works wonders. Knowing that any kind of background graphic consumes precious video memory, consider using smaller (sized) files and stretching them. Anti-aliasing (edge smoothing) will be invoked when you're working with 16-bit (or higher) images.
