There's nothing wrong with installing new hardware and software, but be careful not to make too many changes to your system at the same time. Even if you go out and purchase three peripherals, I wouldn't suggest installing all of them at once. Same goes for the entire range of software titles. Contentions are bound to arise when you start fussing with a smoothly-running machine; you're bound to exacerbate existing problems by adding more 'seasoning' to the stew. By doing "everything" at the same time, you won't know which program or component is to blame for the error(s). What to do? Take it one step at a time; try ONE product for a while and see if any major (negative) changes pop up. Then, if all is well, install something else.
