I gotta giggle when I see seven shortcuts to MY COMPUTER sitting on a Desktop. HINT: you only need one. I realize it's more convenient to keep several on hand, but there are easier ways to get around your system. The quickest way to a folder's heart is through its stomach. For instance, when you know which folder you need to open, instead of starting at ground zero every time, find a nearby program shortcut. So, if I needed to jump to PROGRAM FILES, I might right-click on the WORDPAD shortcut, select its PROPERTIES, then press the FIND TARGET tab. Boom! I'm sitting one folder deep in PROGRAM FILES. When I need to add or edit files in a program's path, I do the same thing. Pointless clicks drag down your productivity; think outside the box. Shaving seconds starts with the shortcut. Shaving shortcuts isn't as simple.
