Waveform Editor

Overview

Adjusts the waveform for the selected instrument.  The waveform may be either drawn by hand or adjusted by adding or subtracting harmonics.  The green waveform displays the base waveform.  The blue waveform is the base waveform with harmonics added or subtracted (the blue waveform is used by the instrument to create sound.)  If a wav file has been imported (Import Wave, under File menu) the wav will be displayed.  Imported waveforms have a maximum length of 8 seconds. 

HotKeys

A - Average waveform.

G - Toggle between types of waveforms.

H - Set the green "base" waveform equal to the blue waveform.

Up Arrow - Increase waveform amplitude.

Down Arrow - Decrease waveform amplitude.

Delete - Remove imported waveform.

Features

1.    Waveform - Draw waveform.

2.    Waveform Buttons - Select which waveform to use.

3.    Add Harmonics - Add harmonics to the waveform.  The vertical axis controls the number of harmonics to add and the the horizontal axis controls the spacing between harmonics.

4.    Subtract Harmonics - Subtract harmonics from the waveform.  The vertical axis controls the number of harmonics to subtract and the the horizontal axis controls the spacing between harmonics.

5.    Chords - Add chords to your notes.  The higher the green bar the greater the volume level for the chord.  Maximum of 8 keys can be added.

6.    Wav Start Position - Set the start position when playing imported wavs.  

7.    Wav End Position - Set the end position when playing imported wavs.  If the end position of the wav is reached, the wav is looped starting at the start position.

8.    Wav Zoom - Zoom into the wav.

9.    Wav Scroll Bar - Scroll the wav.
