Tabs & Windows

These preferences allow you to specify how OmniWeb should behave with regards to presenting and closing windows, handling links from external applications, and links you open from within OmniWeb.

Tab & Window Preferences
The Tabs & Windows Preferences pane.

Tab drawer opens on the [left/right]: Allows you to select which side of the window the tab drawer appears on by default.

Windows:

Open links from other applications in: These settings control what happens when you click a link in another application such as your email client. The following options are available:

Open links to other sites in: These settings control what happens when you click a link that points to a different website. The following options are available:

Command-click to open links: These settings control what happens when you click a link while holding down the command key or when you click using the middle button (scroll wheel click) on a mouse that has a scroll wheel. The following options are available:

You can hold down the Shift key to temporarily alter the behavior chosen for this preference. If your preference is for tabs, holding shift will do the opposite of your tab preference, opening the tab in an active or inactive tab. If your preference is windows, holding shift will do the opposite of your window preference, opening the new window in front of or in behind the current window.
