Site Content

This section manages the content of a site (site's name, number of pages, hierarchical structure, names of menu items).

A site can be viewed as a tree with its root representing the main (welcome) screen.

To rename a node press 'F2' or push the 'Rename' button:

  • The name of the root node is the title of your web site (html tag <title>) and will be displayed in the window bar at the top of your browser.
  • The names of the other nodes are used as names for menu items and will be displayed in the menus of your web site.

Set your site's structure by adding, moving and deleting pages with the control buttons right to the site structure tree.

Choose the page type for the currently selected page with the controls below the site structure tree:

  • SiteGenWiz Editor Pages (or standard pages) let you edit page content with the built-in editor. You can toggle between 'Webview' and 'Source' mode.
  • You also have the option to set another page content type:
    • Choose Local File if you want to display e.g. a html document created manually.
    • Choose Web Link if a remote page content should be displayed (e.g. a webcam of your city or a guestbook running on your web server).
    • Choose Sitemap if a sitemap of your site should be generated at this page.
    • Choose Image Gallery if you want to create a gallery with pictures (e.g. from your last holidays).

For page types other the SiteGenWiz Editor Pages: Depending on the page content type selected adjust the settings of the current page by pressing 'Change' in the Settings section:

  • Pick your document if content type is Local File.
  • Enter the remote address if content type is Web Link.
  • Set the sitemap headline if content type is Sitemap.
  • Select or create a gallery if content type is Image Gallery.
