This Quick Reference page tells you how to do the most common Pics Print image editing and printing tasks - fast!
The fastest way is to use a Layout. Open a new page. Go to the Page menu. Select Auto Layout and choose the Layout that has how you want to fit pictures onto a page (for example, 4 per page.)
To do this your page must be set up using Manual Layout or Auto by Size. Go to the Page menu and select Manual Layout. Now you can resize your pictures on the page. Select your picture; then use the green resize handles to resize your picture using the mouse. Alternately, choose Fit to Size from the Items menu.
Go to the Page menu. Select Auto Layout and choose a layout that does NOT say (no spacing.) When you choose a standard layout (4 per page) it will automatically add a margin between the pictures. To make the margin larger, switch to Manual Layout and either resize the pictures.
Select your picture; right-click and choose Edit Picture; in the Edit screen, select the eye area in the picture and click the Red-Eye button. The red-eye is removed! Then, save your picture.
Select your picture; right-click and choose Edit Picture; in the Edit screen, use the Crop function. Select the area you want to crop to and click the Crop button. Then, save your picture.
Go to Options (File menu, Options), and go to the Layout Default tab. You can enter your Thumbnail values here, the number of thumbnails across by the number of thumbnails going down on a page.
Pics Print can generate very large files. A multi-page document with several images can take 100mb. Windows 9x machines in particular can take some time to process and print these. In order to make the images begin printing faster, go into the Printing Options (File menu, Options) and place a check in the Print Pages separately box.
