Once upon a time, files were named according the classic 8.3 convention; we didn't have to worry about spaces. Bear with me on the next part, folks -- this is going somewhere. When I throw a treat, Sprocket retrieves it. Actually, he swallows it whole (bypassing the ever-important chewing process). When you throw a treat (that is, when you wish to find a certain file), Windows searches for it. CAVEAT: it'll find exactly what you're asking for. Employ the question mark character to fill in the blanks Should your file(s) contain name spaces. Instead of 'A Road Less Traveled,' you would enter: 'A?Road?Less?Traveled' -- no doubt about it. Don't question the mark or you'll find yourself sorting through potentially-convoluted output. Unless that's what you wanted in the first place. In which case... those blank spaces are your friends. Be sure to show your ID at the space bar!
