I copy text frequently: from the Web, e-mail messages, or other rich-text documents. Sometimes I just want to keep the text--not all its fancy-schmancy formatting. So here's a workaround for when you're dealing with formatted text: after copying, open up Notepad and 'Paste' the text in there. From there, you may save the text as a new file, or 'Copy' it again to the clipboard and paste it in another document. All the formatting will have been stripped from it at that point.
