How cramped is your Inbox? If your e-mail client allows you to make new folders, do it! You'll be more organized, and consequently, more efficient. If you don't know how to make a folder, check out the help file--that's why it's there. :)

And just how many e-mail messages are on your PC? If you haven't cleaned house in a while, I'd recommend it. Go through and delete old, useless messages. If they have sentimental value, print 'em off before you delete them.

Never send a huge file to someone without warning them first. How annoyed would you be if someone was sending you the latest 44.3M game through e-mail? 'Perturbed' would be the word I'm looking for.

Be careful when you reply to junk e-mail. Many times your "remove" requests merely let the original sender know that your e-mail address is valid. They can then turn around and sell your "good" address to other spammers. You could be unwittingly inviting more spam into your Inbox.

When you reply to someone and include their message in your response, delete the stuff that's not necessary (headers, non-related sentences, etc.). This'll cut down on wasted bandwidth--and show the receiver that you know proper e-mail Netiquette.

Only send someone HTML mail when you *know* that they have an HTML e-mail client. True, while most newer clients are HTML-mail compatible, many still aren't. When in doubt, use plain text. It ain't as fancy, but who are you trying to impress anyway?
