Having problems downloading something featured in this eZine? Well, try to download it at another time or visit its homepage if the link is bad. Sometimes a new version will come out without me knowing... that's why I put the homepage link underneath the download link.

Are you getting headaches when you sit at the computer for a prolonged period of time? It might be your monitor, or it could be because you're not taking enough breaks. Get up and walk around for a few minutes--your body (and eyes) will thank you for it.

Ever forget your Windows password (it could happen)? Just go to your Windows directory and delete the PWL file with your name (CHRIS.PWL for example). Restart windows (or log in as a new user) and use the name you had been using and it will ask you for a new password.

Animated cursors are fun, but they also slow down Windows (slightly, but noticeably on slower machines). If you can help it at all, try to use generic cursors. That is, unless you have the latest hardware and love bells and whistles. :)

The StartUp group can be a nifty thing, but if you're booting into Windows and you don't want proggies in that group to load up, hold onto the SHIFT key until the process is finished (and you're inside Windows). Of course, if you want to go back and launch those proggies, just open up the StartUp folder and double click on the icons you want to run.

In Internet Explorer or Netscape (possibly Opera), if you want to make a quick shortcut to a link or file, try this: on the web page, click on the link and HOLD... then drag and drop it onto your Desktop. It'll sit there until you need to use it.
