Wanna find out how many web pages are linked to your page? Go to Alta-Vista and type in "link:http://www.yourplace.com/"; [minus the quotes]. While it may not return EVERY single page that has a link to yours, it will give you some idea. Thanks to filez.com for telling me this!

Quit typing in "http://"; before you input a URL in yr web browser's 'Open URL' box. If yr using version 2.0+ of either Netscr... Netscape or Microsoft's Internet Explorer, then that part is AUTOMAGICALLY inserted when you type in the rest of the URL (usually starting with www dot whatever). Save time--let yr browser do the typing.

There was a proggie which I featured in the last eZine that made changes in the way Win95 handles LFNs (removing the stupid "~1" attachment on the DOS filename), but without follow-up or cleanup, problems might ensue on yr computer. Caveat Emptor! ;) Some installation proggies (usually older or poorly written ones) might not recognize some directories if you do that--thus causing you problems. I only recommend making this change if yr a power user and know how to manipulate the registry effectively.
