Here's an interesting fact passed along to me by Shaun (while we were driving from San Francisco to LA). The quickest way to close your CD-ROM tray isn't always the wisest. If you have an open/close button on your drive, you should use it. By pushing an ejected tray back into place, you may be putting undue stress on the hardware. I've learned one thing throughout the years: anything with moving parts should be treated with care. Of course, I don't want you to become over-protective... just keep this in mind. If that's not much of a tip for ya, how's this: before you reboot Windows, remove any CD from your drive(s). You may shave a few seconds off of boot-up time!
