• To install the program, click the install button in the upper corner of the window shown here on the left.

• Next, you will be asked whether you will accept with the licence agreement. Click Accept to continue the installation.

• Select a destination folder where you want to install the program and click OK.

• Select a folder where you will save the files you want to upload and click OK.

• Select the method of installation (it is best to use the default option as shown here on the left) and click OK.

• Give a name to the folder as you will find it again in the Start menu and click OK.

• The program is now installed. Click OK to return to your current workspace.

• As you start the program, you will see the opening screen as shown here on the left. You will need to fill in some information so as to be able to log on to the server:
• Host Name — Here, you need to fill in the name of the homepage server. For example: home-5.worldonline.cz.
• Host Type — You can use Automatic Detect here.
• User ID — Here, you can enter your user name.
• Password — Enter your password.
• The remaining fields can be left empty. The options on the right (like Anonymous login etc. are preset preferences).
• When you have filled in all the required fields, click OK and an FTP-session will be started.

• As soon as you are logged on, 2 screens will appear. The left screen will show the files on your own computer, while the screen on the right will show the files on the remote server.
• The arrow () allows you to move to a lower directory and select the folder with the files which need to be uploaded.

• In the window shown before, you will find a MkDir-button in the upper right corner. Clicking this, a window as shown here on the left will appear. To make your homepage available to the public, you will first need to make a new folder named www. Make sure you use small letters only.

• After creating this folder, you can open it and place your files in here.

• You can copy the files either by double-clicking the local files in the left screen or by selecting the file and clicking the arrow in the middle of the screen in the direction of the remote server.
• The homepage (starting page) should always be named: index.html or index.htm. Beware to use only small letters. A common problem is, for example, that pictures in your homepage are not shown. If this happens, check whether you have typed the names of those files with capitals and/or in lowercase.

• Your page is now uploaded and can be found on the Internet.
• The URL (the address) of your homepage is indicated by the name as shown in the picture on the left. Here, you should also use small letters only.

If this error message appears, the following could be the problem:

• 1. You have filled in the wrong user name.
• 2. The password was filled in incorrectly
• 3. An erroneous homepage server name was filled in

The file you wanted to upload is too big to be placed on the server.

You do not have enough space left on the server. Only the first 2 of the 10 files selected can be copied to the server. There is no space available for the remaining 8 files. They will not be transferred.
