Preferences



6-1. Preferences


You can change various settings of Muwse at the Preferences window in the File menu.
There are three items in the Preferences, you can switch them by Tabs.







6-2. File settings




Default Text Encoding
Default Text Encoding is the setting for HTML document which has no character set tags. Muwse will open such document in the Default Text Encoding.
Unicode Base Language
Even different languages has sometimes same characters. Many Kanji characters or Hiragana characters are included Japanese, Korean and Chinese all. Unicode Base Language is same as main language which is used in opening of the document.



For example, if the setting is Korean, a document contains Hiragana characters are opened as Korean language and Hiragana will be indicated not with Japanese Hiragana but with the one included in Korean characters. Your start up language will used if the setting is Default.
Ask encoding
If this 'Ask encoding' is checked, Muwse opens window for you to
select encoding of HTML document which has no encoding description.







6-3. Editor setting




Line Spacing
Change line spacing.

Tag color
Setting of tag color <>for you to read HTML source easily.
Comment color
Setting of Comment tag color <!-- --> for you to read HTML source easily.








6-4. Font setting





In the Font setting, you can select corresponding font for each of your available languages. Editor font is for indication of the Editor window, Print font is for the document printed out. The default setting is common font of each languages, however, you can change them as you wish.

Example:

Select "Japanese" from the language list, then select Japanese font Osaka from the Pop-up menu. In the same way, select western from the language list, then select Western font Geneva from the Pop-up menu. If the font is of different language, characters will indicated as garbage. As this example, Japanese part will indicated with Osaka and Western part will indicated with Geneva.
