2. List
- This shows contents of the Cleaning Agent's list.
- Has 6 columns: Name, Size, Age, Creator, Type, and State. Name is name of the item (file or folder), Size is file size (for files) or number of items (for folders), Age is the age of the item (measured since item's creation date), Creator and Type are file creator and type codes, State indicates whether the item is available or not or it will be deleted or skipped when cleaning.
Actions and Tasks
° Selecting Items
- To create single selection, just click on desired row of the list. To make multiple selection, click on rows with <Shift> or <Command> key pressed.
° Adding items to the list
- To add file to the list, select Add File item of Item menu or press <Command-1> key. This will display standard open file dialog box.
- To add folder to the list, select Add Folder item of Item menu or press <Command-2> key. This will display standard select folder dialog box.
- You can also use Add File and Add Folder buttons of the main window to add files and folders to the list.
- Another fast and simple way to add items to the list is to drag them from the Finder to the list. You can add to the list more items at once.
- To add invisible items (like desktop files) you must make them visible first (with applications like ResEdit, FileBuddy, FileTyper) and then you can add them to the list ljust ike any other item.
° Editing item's cleaning conditions
- To edit item's cleaning conditions, select the item (one row) in the list. Item's cleaning conditions will display below the list.
° Removing item(s) from the list
- Select item(s) you want to remove from the list and then select Remove Item item of Item menu or press <Backspace> key. This will remove selected item(s) from the list.
° Open Item
- To open an item, select it and then select Open item of Item menu or press <Command-O> key.
° Reveal Item
- To reveal an item in the Finder, select it and then select Reveal item of Item menu or press <Command-R> key.
° Trash Item
- To trash an item, select it and then select Trash item of Item menu or press <Command-T> key.
° Rescan Item
- To rescan (update) an item, select it and then select Rescan item of Item menu or press <Command-E> key.
° Rescan all items
- To rescan (update) all items in the list, simply select Rescan All item of Item menu or press <Command-Shift-E>.
° Finding items
- Select Find item of Item menu and particular sub menu to find available/not available items, items to be skipped/to be deleted, or files/folders.
° Finding all items
- Simply select Find All item of Item menu or press <Command-Shift-F>.
