Module - WWW Access

In this module you can set your own rules for access to www service from your LAN. You can disallow access to some domains, enable or disable access to each computer in your network, but also make exceptions to these rules.

The user interface consists of information about your current rules and exceptions, as well as buttons which you can use to change your standard policy, create and delete exceptions, and insert or delete domains from your stoplist (list of forbidden domains).

Standard policy:

There are two standard policies you can use, allow access from all computers in your network or suppressing access from all computers.

Change policy

Click the "Change policy" button and a new page will appear with two switches you can select your new policy from and buttons for approving or disapproving your choice. Select the policy you want and approve it by clicking "OK" button.

Exceptions

Computers in this list have inverse access rights to your standard policy. If your policy is to allow complete access, computers in this list cannot access the web, if it is to deny all access, these computers may access the web.

Add exception

Click "New exception" button and enter the IP address of the computer you want to add to the exception list in the text field on displayed page.

Remove exception

Click "Delete exception" button and select exception from the list (clicking the switch beside it). If you click "Delete" button you will be asked to confirm your choice.

Forbidden domains

Access to these domains will be forbidden from all computers in your local network. Neither standard policy nor the exceptions list have any influence on this restriction.

Add forbidden domain

Click "New stop" button and enter the domain you want to deny access to in the text field on the displayed page. Click "OK" to add forbidden domain to the list or "Cancel" if you do not want to include it.

Remove forbidden domain

Click "Remove stop" button and then select the domain you want to remove from the list. Click "Delete" to remove it – you will be asked to affirm your choice.
